Advantage Wollongong showcased the region’s defence capabilities at Pacific 2017 in Sydney on 3-5 October 2017.

The biennial Pacific International Maritime Exposition is the only comprehensive international exhibition of its kind in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region, with key decision-makers from 39 navies and more than 500 companies from 23 countries attending.

Advantage Wollongong’s presence on the Defence NSW Pavilion provided high visibility for the region, helping to gain exposure to high profile visitors including Australian Minister of Defence Marissa Payne.

Wollongong-based companies also took the opportunity to establish and build new relationships at the event, raising awareness of their expertise across armoured steel, complex communications systems, advanced fabrication and welding, and deployable health technology. This laid solid foundations for ongoing defence work for both these businesses and the region.
