Japanese based multinational firm NEC Australia will invest approximately $25 million into a Wollongong initiative through a new corporate service delivery office at the University of Wollongong’s Innovation Campus. The centre will see a 110 staff operation with new employment opportunities currently in progress. It will also enable new service capabilities across regional NSW.

NEC chose Wollongong through the efforts of the Advantage Wollongong partnership between the NSW Government, University of Wollongong and Wollongong City Council. The partnership promotes Wollongong as a superior business location to establish and invest, with the aim of creating jobs and bringing investment to the region
