Wollongong's Shared Services strengths on show with Auscontact site tour.
The Auscontact Illawarra Site Tour was held in Wollongong on 20 February, providing Wollongong the opportunity to showcase its business benefits to over 50 Auscontact members.
The Auscontact Association is the industry association for the contact centre sector in Australia. Through this tour, Auscontact provided members with the opportunity to visit two of Wollongong's newest contact centres operated by NEC and the NSW SES. Members were taken on a site tour of each facility, as well as being welcomed by Advantage Wollongong, where they learned about the benefits of operating a contact centre in Wollongong.
The Contact Centre Sector is a significant part of Wollongong’s growing Knowledge Services industry, with over 28 locations employing 2,000 people. Wollongong’s reputation in this sector has continued to grow along with the growth of the local industry, with the recent additions of NEC, the expansion of Stellar and the welcoming of Mercer.
